METHOD AND APPARATUS OF CONTROLLING PRINTING JOBS FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE IN OFF-LINE

A method and a device for controlling printing jobs for an image forming device of an offline state are provided to ask a user whether the printing job requested in the offline state is continuously advanced or not, and enable the user to select the desired printing job among the printing jobs temporarily stored in a memory when the image forming device is switched to an online state. A state detector(350) checks whether the image forming device(310) is the offline state by responding to a printing request. A user interface(380) displays that the image forming device is the offline state in case that the image forming device is the offline state, and receives advance or cancellation of the requested printing job. A printer driver(340) stores printing data of the requested printing job to a memory included in a PC(300) in the case that the advance of the printing job is inputted in the user interface.
