A method and a system for trading transport in an online cargo terminal are provided to intermediate the transport between a cargo and an empty vehicle without an intermediary by completely opening cargo information and empty vehicle information in the online cargo terminal. Shippers register cargo details of each destination place. Transporters register transporter information and empty vehicle details of each destination place. If the shipper searches the empty vehicle details in an empty vehicle list of a central processing server through the web and sends a transport request document by filling a form of the transport request document, the central processing server transmits the transport request document to the selected transporter, and helps a transport contract between the shipper and the transporter. If a scheduled departure day is passed, the central processing server automatically deletes the corresponding cargo details and empty vehicle details.
