A floatage inflow prevention type balance keeping decanter for wastewater treatment is provided to essentially prevent a floatage from flowing in a catchment tank by allowing supernatant to pass through a lower part of a cover without directly flowing over wall bodies of the catchment tank, maintain balance of the catchment tank more effectively, and allow the supernatant to flow in the catchment tank smoothly via the lower part of the cover. In a balance keeping decanter for wastewater treatment comprising: a rotary pipe(362) installed on a lower part of a wastewater tank(200); a catchment pipe(361) connected to the rotary pipe and an actuator(370) and axially rotated around the center of the rotary pipe; and a rectangular catchment tank(100) which is rotatably installed through a horizontal pipe(120) formed on an upper part of the catchment pipe, and an upper part of which is opened, a floatage inflow prevention type balance keeping decanter for wastewater treatment is characterized in that: a box-shaped cover(130) a lower part of which is opened is installed in an upper part of the catchment tank; and lower ends of wall bodies at the front and rear of the cover are spaced in an outer downward direction from upper ends at the front and rear of the catchment tank in a predetermined distance such that supernatant(210) within the wastewater tank flows in the catchment tank via a lower part of the cover.
