An adaptive CFR(Crest Fast Reduction) of a communication system using a multi-FA is provided to reduce the PAR(Peak to Average Ratio) of a signal by previously setting and storing the optimized clipping noise gains, based on the locations and number of FAs(Frequency Assignments), through simulation and controlling the gain of clipping noise according to the situation of an applied system. An adaptive CFR(100) of a communication system using a multi-FA consists of a delay part(110), a clipping part(120), front mixers(130a-130d), noise shaping filters(140a-140d), back mixers(150a-150d), a noise gain controller(170), a multi-FA combiner(180), and a combiner(190). The delay part(110) delays an inputted signal for a certain time. The clipping part(120) clips the inputted signal to a certain level. The front mixers(130a-130d) transit a center frequency to "0" for each FA. The noise shaping filters(140a-140d) shape the clipped signal. The back mixers(150a-150d) transit the shaped signal into each original FA. The noise gain controller(170) controls gain of the clipped signal. The multi-FA combiner(180) combines the gain-adjusted FAs. The combiner(190) subtracts the clipped signal from the delayed original signal.
