New association between agomelatine and a noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same compounds are provided to treat depression, especially resistant depression without side effects. The pharmaceutical composition contains agomelatine associated with the noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor or its hydrate or N-[2-(7-methoxy-1-naphthyl)ethyl] acetamide represented by the formula(I), addition salt of crystalline and pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base. The noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor is reboxetine.
