METHOD FOR GROWTH PREDICTION WITH AUTOMATIC RUS SCORE CALCULATION

A method for predicting growth by automatically calculating an RUS score is provided to minimize an error depending on an analyzer by automatically calculating the RUS score from a bone shape of a hand based on an X-ray photograph. The X-ray photograph of the hand is received(100). Factors including anatomical feature, structure, size, concentration, acuteness, and shape of a growth plate of bones forming a wrist are automatically classified according to a technique including an image processing technique(110). The RUS score is calculated by assigning weight to the factors according to classified details based on comparison between the classified factors and reference data(120). Predicted height is calculated by considering the factors including the RUS score, a gender, an age, and sexual maturity(130).
