SOLVENT BORNE PAINT COMPOSITION FOR INTERIOR DECORATIVE COATING

An oil paint composition for interior decorative coating of constructional buildings is provided to greatly reduce amount of volatile materials contained in a coating and defer drying of the coating applied to the surface of a structure, thereby improving environmental affinity of the composition by comprising oily resins, a low boiling point solvent and a specific surface drying retarder. The composition includes: oily resin as a binder; 1-10wt% of a semi-volatile organic compound having a boiling point of 250-400deg.C under ordinary pressure as a surface drying retarder; and 1-45wt% of a volatile organic compound as a low boiling point solvent, relative to total weight of the composition. The surface drying retarder is selected from glycols, high boiling point compounds, aliphatic, aromatic, isoparaffin based and naphthene based solvent composites. The low boiling point solvent is selected from aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, ketone solvent, ester solvent, alcohol solvent, ether compound and glycols. The oily resin is a resin dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent such as alkyd resin, acryl resin, urethane resin, epoxy resin, polyamide, amino resin or modification thereof and has 40-70wt% of solid content.
