INVESTMENT CASTING MOLD DESIGN AND METHOD FOR INVESTMENT CASTING USING THE SAME

A design of an investment casting mold and an investment casting method using the same are provided to reduce the amount of dust entering a mold assembly and to prevent deformation of parts by easily removing wax materials and used shell and core materials without excessively smoothing the shell or the molded part. An investment casting method comprises the steps of: setting the position of a base plate(12) for a die; molding first materials between at least a first surface part of the base plate and the die; fixing at least one pattern including second materials, to the base plate; applying at least one coating layer on at least a portion of at least one pattern and at least a part of the first material; removing the first material through an inner receptacle of a manifold body(16) to leave at least one shell formed by the coating layer and practically removing the second material through an outer receptacle of the manifold body; removing the base plate; injecting the melted metal into at least one shell through the inner receptacle of the manifold body; solidifying the melted metal; and breaking and removing at least one investment casting mold.
