WATER MARKING' TECHNOLOGY OF GPS INFORMATION ON THE IMAGE AND THE SERVICE USING THIS IMAGE WITH PRE-DEFINED PROTOCOL

摘要

A technology for watermarking GPS(Global Positioning System) information on an image and a service for using the same by a preset protocol are provided to upload an image to a computer or a web site to be connected with local information automatically for various purposes. A technology for watermarking GPS information on an image includes a camera(1) incorporating a GPS receiver(2) or a mobile phone terminal(3) incorporating a camera(4) and a GPS receiver(5). As an image(7) is taken by the terminal, a GPS receiver calculates longitude and latitude values at the instant and inserts a watermark(8) such as time data to the image. The watermarked image is utilized together with local information by a preset protocol through the Internet.
