THE DIGITAL BANKBOOK OPERATING METHOD AND SYSTEM AND PROGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM

A method and a system for operating an electronic bankbook, and a program recording medium for the same are provided to process account information as if the account information is read from the electronic bankbook embedded in an IC card by transmitting the account information from an account ledger including an electronic bankbook ID to a banking terminal. An information checker(615) checks whether account opening request information of a customer requests the electronic or paper bankbook. An electronic bankbook ID assigner includes the electronic bankbook ID to the account ledger. An information receiver(610) receives information for requesting the account information included in the electronic bankbook from the banking terminal when the customer requests the account information to the banking terminal by using the IC card in which the electronic bankbook is issued. An information checking/extracting part extracts the account information corresponding to the account ledger by checking the electronic bankbook ID included in the account ledger. An information transmitter transmits the extracted account information to the banking terminal.
