A method for removing nitrogen oxide of off-gas from annealing and pickling lines and an annealing and pickling line for stainless steel hot or cold strip are provided to ensure the NOx content of the off-gas with the lowest possible expenditure. Nitrogen oxide of off-gas is removed from annealing and pickling lines by heating the off-gas from a pickling section(3) and removing the nitrogen oxide through selective catalytic reduction. Heat generated from the off-gas supplied from an annealing furnace(1) is applied to off-gas supplied from the pickling section before the selective catalytic reduction. The off-gas supplied from the pickling section is combined with the off-gas supplied from the annealing furnace, thereby performing the selective catalytic reduction.
