METHOD FOR MANUCTURING OF SINTERING ZIRCONIUM-SILICATE BEAD AND SINTERING ZIRCONIUM-SILICATE BEAD

A method for manufacturing sintered zirconium-silicate beads is provided to produce compact, highly spherical, and density-controllable zirconium-silicate beads which are easily applicable to grinding and dispersing various materials. A method for manufacturing sintered zirconium-silicate beads includes the steps of: (S110) preparing a composition by adding a sintering additive such as silica to zirconium silicate powder in a sufficient amount to produce beads having desired density and/or designed hardness; (S120) adding a solvent, a binder, and a dispersing agent to the prepared composition to prepare slurry; (S130) manufacturing molded bodies using the prepared slurry; and (S140) washing and drying the molded bodies, and then heat-treating the resultant at about 1200-1600°C.
