A hydrophilic and porous type poly(vinylidene fluoride) hollow fiber membrane and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve water permeability of the hollow fiber membrane, by distributing spherical particles and rod-shaped particles in the hollow fiber membrane. A hydrophilic and porous type hollow fiber membrane comprises a plurality of rod-shaped particles and a plurality of spherical particles. The rod-shaped particles have an average diameter of about 5 um, and lengths of more than 5 um. The spherical particles have an average diameter of less than 5 um. The hydrophilic and porous type hollow fiber membrane has an external diameter of 0.8-1.2 um, and a membrane thickness of 0.1-0.4 mm.
