A method for measuring the amount of refrigerant circulated in a refrigerating cycle is provided to measure the amount of refrigerant circulated in a refrigerating cycle more exactly. A method for measuring the amount of refrigerant circulated in a refrigerating cycle comprises the steps of: operating a compressor(S100); discharging high temperature and high pressure refrigerant and circulating in a refrigerating cycle, and measuring temperature(Tc1) and pressure(Pc1) in a control volume space using a temperature sensor and a pressure sensor(S102); transmitting the temperature and pressure value in the control volume space to a control unit, and calculating the amount of refrigerant using a data processing unit(S104); operating a cutoff valve and closing a refrigerant passage(S105); making a variable volume space formed between the compressor and the cutoff valve vacuous by the suction action of the compressor(S106); checking whether the preset time(t1) passes or not in the controller(S108); measuring temperature(Tc2) and pressure(Pc2) of refrigerant in the control volume space if the preset time passes(S110); transmitting the measured temperature and pressure value of the coolant to the data processing unit through the controller, and calculating the amount of refrigerant(S112); and indicating the amount of refrigerant(Q2) in a refrigerant amount display unit(S114).
