WASTE LANDFILL SITE PREVENTING LANDFILL GAS ESCAPE BY USING WATERPROOF MAT

A landfill for preventing a buried gas leakage by using a waterproof mat is provided to minimize buried gas generation leaking out through a crack of a covering layer, to thereby improve ecological effects, to utilize the buried gas as a resource by enhancing efficiency in gathering the buried gas, and to initially stabilize the structure of the landfill by facilitating anaerobic decomposition in a waste buried layer. A landfill for preventing a buried gas leakage by using a waterproof mat comprises at least one waste buried layer(42a,42b) reduced of the size toward the upper end and formed with a covering layer(44a,44b) thereon; a bank(30b) formed at the edge of the waste buried layer to provide a space for burying the wastes; inner road formed at the inner side of the bank to partition each step of the waste region; a V-type soil side gutter(46) formed on a border between the bank and the covering layer to exclude rainwater; an extraction water vertical extrusion well disposed through the waste buried layer and the covering layer to transfer extraction water generated at the waste buried layer toward an extraction water treating place disposed at outside, and formed around a perforation pipe exposed outside to gather extraction water; a waste gas gathering well having a guide wall disposed through the waste buried layer and the covering layer, a perforation pipe disposed in the guide wall to gather waste gas, a waste gas transfer conduit connected with the perforation pipe to transfer the waste gas to the waste gas treating facility, and a supporting base formed around the guide wall exposed outside; and a waterproof mat(50) formed on a crack(52a) of the covering layer formed on the waste buried layer.
