A shock-absorbing device is provided to quickly stop a vehicle and prevent secondary accidents by quickly absorbing shearing stress, friction force, and air buffering action when the vehicle is crashed on the front side of the shock-absorbing device, to minimize impact given to a driver and passengers, and to recover the vehicle to an original driving way when the vehicle is almost collided on the lateral side of the shock-absorbing device. A shock-absorbing device comprises a rear fixer fixed on the ground; a front buffering unit(200) disposed at a predetermined distance from the rear fixer to primarily absorb impact generated in a head-on collision with the vehicle; a shock-absorbing member multiply arranged between the rear fixer and the front buffering unit to secondarily absorb impact energy through shearing stress and buffering action and to exert elasticity so as to recover the vehicle in a lateral collision; and an expanding member disposed at the lower end of the shock-absorbing member to support elasticity of the shock-absorbing member to recover the vehicle to an original driving way. The shock-absorbing member has a strut(10), a cross bar(20), multiple lateral guard panels(30), a clamp(40) and an air member. The lateral guard panel has a slide guide hole(31); a pin hole penetrated by a clamp fixing bolt(500); and a first fracture unit broken by the bolt to give the shearing stress about the lateral guard panel when a certain amount of impact energy is given to the front buffering unit.
