A common rail diesel engine and a method for regulating the fuel injection pressure in the same are provided to easily regulate the fuel injection pressure in the common rail diesel engine by allowing the current fuel pressure value to reach a goal fuel pressure value. A common rail diesel engine includes a rail pressure sensor(31) and an electronic control unit(40). The rail pressure sensor measures the pressure in a common rail. The electronic control unit controls the operation state of a vehicle. An output increasing/decreasing control unit is installed in the middle of the rail pressure sensor and the electronic control unit and obtains the current fuel pressure by inputting the flow amount of air, the number of rotations of the engine, and the pressure in the common rail. The output increasing/decreasing control unit compares the current fuel pressure with a goal fuel pressure and transfers the current fuel pressure value increased or decreased in a predetermined range if the two pressures are different.
