A system and a method for removing odor by using photosynthetic bacteria are provided to maximize deodorization efficiency by spraying photosynthetic bacteria into an upper part of a wastewater treatment plant, thereby reacting the photosynthetic bacteria with odor of hydrogen sulfide or ammonia to remove the odor, and forcibly collecting residual odor and reacting the residual odor with photosynthetic bacteria in a deodorization part, thereby removing the odor. A system for removing odor by using photosynthetic bacteria comprises: a space deodorization part(100) for spraying photosynthetic bacteria into an upper part of an odor generation source, thereby degrading odor generated from the odor generation source to remove the odor; a collecting and deodorizing part(200) for forcibly collecting air containing the odor degraded by the photosynthetic bacteria in the space deodorization part by rotation of an exhaust fan, and causing photosynthetic bacteria that live and multiply in a deodorization part to degrade residual odor that has not been deodorized in the space deodorization part again to remove the odor; an exhaust part(300) for mixing external air supplied from the outside with air from which odor has been removed in the collecting and deodorizing part, and exhausting the mixed air to the outside; and a control part(400) for controlling operation of the space deodorization part, the collecting and deodorizing part, and the exhaust part.
