Provided is a positive electrode composition for a direct methanol fuel cell, which improves long-term stability of a fuel cell by increasing compatibility between a membrane and electrodes to maintain electrochemical stability of the interface between unit cells. The positive electrode composition for a direct methanol fuel cell comprises a platinum catalyst as a positive electrode active material and a positive electrode binder, wherein a polymer electrolyte membrane and the positive electrode binder include sulfonated polyetheretherketone-based polymer. The sulfonated polyetheretherketone-based polymer has a number average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000 and a mass average molecular weight of 10,000-1,000,000.
