DIGITAL OSCILLOSCOPE AND A METHOD FOR DISPLAYING A WAVE SIGNAL

A digital oscilloscope and a waveform display method are provided to form an output picture by assigning and storing a background graphic provided from a graphic card of the oscilloscope and digital information and graphic information about a waveform signal to be measured in a double buffer, and synthesizing a waveform graphic and the background graphic which are extracted by double buffering. A background graphic providing unit(100) provides a background graphic to which a graphic for measuring a waveform signal is added. A data processing unit(200) converts the waveform signal provided in time series, generates waveform data, assigns and stores the waveform data and the background graphic in each double buffer according to frames, assigns and stores a waveform graphic generated on the basis of the waveform data in another double buffer, and separately outputs output pictures generated by synthesizing the waveform graphic and the background graphic successively outputted by double buffering. A display unit(300) displays each output picture on a monitor.
