A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR FRACTURE HEALING COMPRISING BETA-GLUCAN AS AN EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT

A pharmaceutical composition for fracture treatment comprising beta-glucan as an effective ingredient is provided to improve economical efficiency and simplicity of beta-glucan preparation compared to the conventional hormone, allow oral administration, and enhance dosage safety of beta-glucan by avoiding immunogenicity and side effects. The pharmaceutical composition for fracture treatment comprises beta-1,3/1,6-glucan which contains glucose main chain linked by beta-1,3 linkage, wherein at least one glucose is linked to branched glucose by beta-1,6 linkage. The beta-1,3/1,6-glucan is represented by the formula(1) in which n is 1 to 4,000, and X is lactic acid, maleic acid or sulfoacetic acid, is derived from Aureobasidium pullulans SM2001 and is orally administered.
