MOBILE COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPORTING MUSICAM RADIO DMB INTERACTIVE SERVICE USING X-PAD

A mobile communication terminal for supporting a radio DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) interactive service by using X-PAD(eXtended-Program Associated Data) and a method therefor are provided to support an interactive service for a corresponding URL(Uniform Resource Locator) with respect to the URL of a MUSICAM(Masking pattern adapted Universal Subband Integrated Coding And Multiplexing) radio DMB interactive service. An application unit(240) supports a MUSICAM radio DMB interactive service. A DMB agent(210) parses data of an X-PAD mode received through a DMB network, extracts parameters corresponding to a URL of the MUSICAM radio DMB interactive service, and outputs the extracted parameters. A DMB handler(220) processes corresponding radio DMB by using the parameters extracted in the DMB agent(210), calls corresponding application from the application unit(240), and processes the MUSICAM radio DMB interactive service with a DMB contents server. A mobile communication terminal transmits and receives data with the DMB contents server according to the MUSICAM radio DMB interactive service.
