An SMPS(Switching Mode Power Supply) and a method for implementing a power saving mode are provided to easily implement the power saving mode in the SMPS which outputs a plurality of output voltages by using a voltage difference without an additional controller. An SMPS includes first and second PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) controllers(120,160), a first transformer(120), and a plurality of rectifying units(110,140,150,180). The first and second PWM controllers(120,160) are driven by different driving voltages, and control first and second voltages to be outputted. The first transformer(120) outputs the first voltage by control of the first PWM controller(120). The rectifying units(110,140,150,180) rectify and smooth a current flowing on a sub-winding wire of the first transformer(130). The rectifying units(110,140,150,180) generate a power saving mode voltage based on the driving voltage of the first and second PWM controllers(120,160). The rectifying units(110,140,150,180) provide the generated power saving mode voltage to the first and second PWM controllers(120,160).
