A location based service system and method using location based multimedia data and a mobile communication terminal applied thereto are provided to insert terminal location information formed through a GPS(Global Positioning System) or a CPS(Cell Positioning System) into multimedia data produced by taking a picture of a predetermined object for a photo or a video by the terminal, thereby offering various location based services. A multimedia generator(110) forms multimedia data of an object. A wireless communication unit(120) is supplied with location information of a terminal corresponding to the multimedia data, based on a portable Internet or a wireless LAN(Local Area Network). A data processing unit(130) generates location-based multimedia data by combining the location information of the terminal with the multimedia data. A data storage(140) stores the location-based multimedia data.
