METHOD FOR STORING AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING TELEPHONE NUMBER BY MULTILEVEL CLASSIFICATION IN MOBILE COMMNICATION TERMINAL

A method for storing telephone numbers after classifying the numbers in multiple stages in a mobile communication terminal and a searching method therefor are provided to be capable of separately setting phone books by dividing the phone books according to each large classification item, and of designating classification items within the phone books to classify/store the designated items in multiple stages, thus user's convenience is provided when the user searches telephone numbers. A user selects a phone book on a menu item of a mobile communication terminal, and the terminal extracts phone book addresses and phone book names stored in a memory to display the extracted information on a screen(S100-S130). The user selects a particular phone book name, and the terminal displays a management menu for managing the corresponding phone book on the screen(S140,S150). The user selects a new number registration menu on the management menu, and the terminal displays an input blank capable of the user inputting names, telephone numbers, and classification items on the screen(S160,S170). The user inputs data on the input blank and presses a save key, so that the data are stored in the corresponding phone book(S180,S190).
