A location-aided routing method for TCP(Transmission Control Protocol) performance improvement in a UWB(Ultra Wide Band) ad hoc network is provided to be capable of searching a path having maximum TCP efficiency, thus higher efficiency is provided in static and dynamic UWB ad hoc networks and time consumption in case of routing path determination is avoidable. Each node on a UWB ad hoc network periodically searches a minimum loss routing path where TCP efficiency becomes maximum, for all nodes located on the network, and generates a routing table by using the searched routing path to maintain the generated table(S201). A node from which a packet transmission event occurs decides whether the distance(D) between the node itself and a destination node is less than a threshold distance(F) which is an optimal transmission distance of the node itself(S202). If the distance(D) exceeds the threshold distance(F), the node searches a minimum loss path to the destination node from the routing table maintained by the node itself, and if the distance(D) is less than the threshold distance(F), the node directly transmits packets to the destination node(S203,S204,S202-1).
