The present invention provides a method to block the movement of low energy electrons through the thermoelectric material . This method is achieved by using a more transmissive filter than for the high -energy electrons with respect to the low -energy electrons . A tunnel barrier layer in the path of the electrons is used as filter . The filter operates on the basis of the wave form of the electron . The geometry of the tunnel barrier layer is configured such that the barrier is never transmitted with respect to the electrons having a de Broglie wavelength . If the walls of the transmission wavelength corresponding to the wavelength of the high-energy electron configuration is the structure geometry of the walls , and for the high energy electrons transmitted through jeokil will by the tunnel barrier layer to block the low -energy electrons .
