Write parameter setting method of hard disk drive and hard disk drive therefor

A write parameter setup method of an HDD(Hard Disk Drive) and the HDD appropriate therefor are provided to control a write parameter so as to prevent an abnormal position error signal from being obtained by influence that a read head undergoes by a recording magnetic field, thus a stable recording operation is carried out. Data is recorded on a disk as many as predetermined servo sectors while write stress is applied to a write head(S402). Next servo sectors are read by the read head whenever the data is recorded among the servo sectors by the write head, to measure the number of errors generated from the servo sectors(S404,S406). A process of recording the data and a process of measuring the number of the errors are repeated until the number of the errors becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold value while a write parameter for applying the write stress is changed on the basis of the measured number of the errors(S408-S414). A write parameter control value corresponding to a difference between the first write parameter and the last write parameter is obtained(S418). The write parameter control value is applied to an optimum write parameter obtained in a normal operational condition to set a write parameter(S420).
