A laser induced thermal imaging apparatus and a laser induced thermal imaging method are provided to effectively transfer a light emitting layer on an acceptor substrate by laminating a donor film on the acceptor substrate using a magnetic force while preventing a gap and pollutants between the donor film and the acceptor substrate. A laser induced thermal imaging apparatus includes a substrate stage, a laser generator, and a donor film. A groove(231) is formed inside a substrate support mount(230). A bar type or co-centric permanent magnet(232) is formed at a predetermined region on an inner surface of the groove. The permanent magnets are formed in multiple rows and columns to facilitate a laminating process. The permanent magnets are made of magnetic nano particles on the substrate stage or in the groove. The nano particles are formed by one of a spin-coating process, an E-beam process, or an inkjet process. The pressing frame includes a magnetic material and at least one aperture.
