Whitening composition comprising an extract of Quercus dentata stem

A skin-whitening composition comprising the extract of Quercus dentata stem is provided to improve tyrosinase-inhibiting activity, stability and economical efficiency of the composition. The skin-whitening composition comprises the extract of Quercus dentata stem as an effective ingredient, wherein the extract of Quercus dentata stem is prepared by pulverizing Quercus dentata stem, extracting the pulverized Quercus dentata stem with a solvent selected from water and organic solvent, and filtering the extract of Quercus dentata stem and concentrating the filtered solution; the organic solvent is methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, butanol, ethylene, acetone, hexane, ether, chloroform, ethylacetate, butylacetate, dichloromethane, N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF), dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO), 1,3-butyleneglycol or propylene glycol; and the composition is applied to cosmetics, medicines and food.
