USER INTERFACE FOR IMAGE SEARCHING, IMAGE SEARCHING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF USING THE USER INTERFACE

A user interface for searching images, an image search system using the same, and a method thereof are provided to offer the user interface capable of editing the image in the mobile terminal and search the images based on an object in the image by using the mobile terminal including the user interface. The mobile terminal(100) generates the selected image and area information after selecting an area of the image. An image server(200) searches the image on the basis of the image and the area information received form the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal includes a user interface module for offering an image editing tool which selects the area from the image by using only the direction and selection key, and the first image processor for extracting metadata based on the selected image/area information. The image server includes the second image processor, a metadata comparator, a size adjuster, a result page generator and an image metadata database(300).
