A Digital Multimedia Broadcasting terminal and a power management method therefor

A digital multimedia broadcasting terminal and a method for controlling power of the same are provided to maintain linearity of operation of a broadcasting tuner, and reduce power consumption of a terminal by activating a predetermined function only when digital multimedia broadcasting is viewed. A mobile communication terminal receives broadcasting data from a multimedia broadcasting center to realize a multimedia reproducing function. A level translator(33) executes two-way communication with a radio frequency tuner(34) for a broadcasting terminal controlled by a control unit(31), and boosts operation power of the radio frequency tuner for a broadcasting terminal. A switch(32) is installed between the control unit and the level translator to switch two-way communication.
