A system and a method for third party authentication using a facial image-based password are provided to limit a damage range of a user by a tool for checking an EC site, a use frequency, and an effective term of a user ID/password in EC(Electronic Commerce) even if the user ID/password is exposed to the outside. A password generator(28) generates the user ID by using asymmetrical information transformation process into a data type including EC site and use term/frequency information of the user. A password authenticator(27) determines identity and personal availability between the password received from the EC site(21) and the password generated again from the password generator. A service institution computer(22) includes databases(30a,30b,30d,30e) for storing a facial image needed for generating the password, facial coordinate values for each EC site ID, and availability selection information of each personal password, and a mobile phone number database(30c) for transmitting the generated personal password.
