An apparatus and a method for downlink channel environment prediction using a feedback signal in a wireless mobile communication system are provided to grasp and predict changes of radio channel states of a user by using channel state information fed back from the second communication station and minimize the amount of feedback signals for prediction of channel states, thereby reducing power consumption of the second communication station. The first communication station(base station)(400) comprises a channel state transition table managing device(430), a channel state prediction device(440) and an antenna signal generator(450). The second communication station(terminal)(500) comprises the followings: N number of receiving antennas(510,520); a channel estimator(530) for estimating a radio channel by measuring different pilot signals received from each transmission antenna(410,420) of the first communication station(400); and a sampling and quantizing device(540) for performing sampling and quantizing processes in order to transmit the values, estimated by the channel estimator(530), with the minimum information quantity to the first communication station(400) as the feedback signal.
