METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORWARDING CONTROL FRAME TO HIDDEN NODE IN WLAN

A method for forwarding a control frame to a hidden node in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) and an apparatus thereof are provided to solve a hidden node problem by making all the stations, affiliated to the same BSS(Basic Service Set), fairly receive time information for controlling a media access. A method for forwarding a control frame to a hidden node in a WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) comprises the following several steps. An AP(Access Point) or an IBSS(Independent Basic Service Set) management station receives a CF-End frame(710). The AP or the IBSS management station compares a BSSID of a BSS, to which the AP or the IBSS is affiliated, with a BSSID recorded in an address field of the received CF-End frame(720). If the BSSID of the BSS, to which the AP or the IBSS is affiliated, is the same as the BSSID recorded in the address field of the received CF-End frame, the AP or the IBSS management station broadcasts the received CF-End frame to hidden nodes of the BSS to which the AP or the IBSS management station is affiliated(730). Otherwise, the CF-End frame is dropped(740).
