A method for relieving spring-back of an aluminum ally sheet, which can relieve spring-back generated after forming the local surface modified aluminum ally sheet after performing local surface modification of the aluminum ally sheet by friction heat and plastic flow, is provided. In a method for relieving spring-back which is generated after an aluminum alloy sheet-forming process of forming a plastic region(4) having a predetermined thickness from a surface of the aluminum alloy sheet by closely adhering a tool to a predetermined part of an aluminum alloy sheet(1), applying a constant pressure to the aluminum alloy sheet, and moving the tool, thereby generating friction heat, the tool enabling an aluminum alloy sheet to be fixed, being made of a material stronger than that of the aluminum alloy sheet, and being rotated at a high speed, a method for relieving spring-back of the aluminum ally sheet is characterized in that the tool is a round bar type tool(2) without a pin inserted into the aluminum alloy sheet.
