PURPOSE: A water jet cleaning apparatus for pulling up and washing grit is provided which cleans the pulled up grit by pulling up grit such as sand and clay settled in a grit chamber of a sewage and wastewater treatment plant or a water purifying plant. CONSTITUTION: The water jet cleaning apparatus for pulling up and washing grit comprises first and second pumps(2,4) for supplying water in a high pressure; an accumulation means comprising a stairway type inclined surface(6) for guiding the grit in the grit chamber(1) to a certain position, an injection pipe(10) on which a plurality of injection nozzles(8) are formed to spray water in a high pressure, each of the injection nozzles(8) are installed on the inclined surface(6) with being connected to the first pump(2), and a grit tank(12) which is formed at the lowest part of the inclined surface(6) so that the grit is finally collected into the grit tank(12); a grit pulling machine(18) that is connected to the second pump(4) and comprises a suction pipe(17) for guiding the grit by sucking in the grit, a vortex generator(14) which is installed at the lower part of the suction pipe(17) to dissolve and separate the grit of the grit tank(12) using high pressure water flown into the vortex generator(14) through the second pump(4), and a pulling driving unit(16) which is installed on the upper part of the suction pipe(17) to suck in and pull up the grit to the upside; a transfer pipe(20) that is connected to the grit pulling machine(18) to simultaneously transfer and clean the grit pulled up by the grit pulling machine(18) using the high pressure water transferred by the pulling driving unit(16); and a separator(22) for rotating the grit transferred through the transfer pipe(20), thereby separating pure grit only by cyclone effect.
