METHOD FOR MEASURING QUALITY OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK USING MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL THEREFOR

A quality measurement method of a mobile communication network using a mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to enable the terminal to measure quality of communication networks according to preset conditions, so that the measured information can be used for managing the quality of the mobile communication networks. Preset speech quality measurement conditions which include quality measurement target regions and quality measurement periods are stored(S101). If a terminal is located within a particular base station region which is a quality measurement target region, quality of a mobile communication network for uplink is measured when origination/reception signals are generated(S103-S107). If a preset quality measurement period is set, quality of the communication network for downlink and an equivalent location are measured(S109,S111). The measured quality information and the location information are sent to a quality management server which manages the quality of the communication network(S113).
