METHOD FOR PROCESSING BAD SECTORS OF HDD OF PVR TV

An HDD(Hard Disk Drive) error sector handling method of a PVR(Personal Video Recorder) TV is provided to be displayed through an OSD(On Screen Display) function if an error sector is discovered from an HDD so that a user selects the handling method, thus the user is able to recognize existence of a bad sector. An error is checked(S10). If an error is generated from an HDD, it is decided whether a file exists within an error sector(S20,S30). If so, a handling method of the file is displayed through an OSD function so that a user selects the handling method(S40,S50). If the handling method of the file is selected, the error is handled according to the handling method(S60,S70,S80).
