摘要

Provided are an antioxidative compound, which has high antioxidative activity, high heat stability, and excellent ferrous chelating effect, and thus is useful as a natural antioxidant, and a preparation thereof. The antioxidative compound represented by the following chemical formula 1 is prepared by the steps of: adding a solvent to mashed Sporophyll of Undaria pinnatifida to obtain an extract; subjecting the extract to solvent fractionation; and purifying the solvent fraction using a chromatography. The solvent in the first step is water, methanol, or ethanol. The solvent in the second step is a hexane/ethyl acetate mixture. In the third step, a preparative thin layer chromatography and a subsequent preparative liquid chromatography are performed.
