A support device of a sign plate is provided to support a sign plate stably against strong wind pressure, to fix and install simply with a simple structure and to install a sign plate stably against strong wind pressure. The support device of a sign contains a fixed assembly installed to a sign plate and installed to a support, and an arc-shaped soft friction member(7) fitted to a contact part between the fixed assembly and the support. The fixed assembly contains a fixed plate(3) fixed with a sign plate(9) to move integrally with the force of a spring(6), a primary noise plate(4) formed in an arc shape to cover the soft friction member to make the soft friction member and the horizontal bar adhered closely to each other with strong frictional force, a secondary noise plate(5) connected with the primary noise plate by a hinge(2), wherein the fixed plate, the primary noise plate and the secondary noise plate are connected to make relative rotation possible by the hinge.
