PURPOSE: An adaptive power control method with a blind type using acknowledgement/no-acknowledgement in an ARQ(Automatic Repeat reQuest) system is provided to improve the performance of a system by controlling a transmitter so that the transmitter performs a power control with a set type according to a packet re-transmission request(no acknowledgement response) when the packet re-transmission request(no acknowledgement response) exists from a receiver to the transmitter. CONSTITUTION: Data corresponding to an initial coding rate and an initial transmission power value are transmitted from a transmission side to a receipt side. The transmitted data are received, a re-transmission(no acknowledgement) request signal from the receipt side to the transmission side is received according to the judged result of the quality of the received data. A coding rate is decreased and a transmission power is increased according to the re-transmission(no acknowledgement) request, and a data re-transmission is performed using the decreased coding rate and the increased transmission power.
