A REAL TIME REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR WATER FLEA ACTIVITY STATUS USING CCD CAMERA

A real time remote monitoring system of water quality by measuring activity of water flea with a CCD(charge coupled device) camera is provided to monitor the water quality in a remote place via internet in real time through the activity monitoring of water flea by scanning an image with the CCD camera. The real time remote monitoring system of water quality by measuring activity of water flea with the CCD camera comprises the CCD camera for obtaining an image of water flea activity, a FPGA board(30) for measuring the activity of water flea in real time from the image of CCD camera, an imbedded system(50) having a JPEG(joint photographic coding experts group)(52) image treating portion and a web server(58), a web browser(60) connected to the imbedded system via internet, wherein the FPGA board contains an image grab hardware(32) and a real time measuring hardware for water flea activity(34).
