COUNTERCURRENT PREVENTION DEVICE FOR BEING INSTALLED IN DRAINPIPE OF AN APARTMENT HOUSE

A counterflow prevention connector installed on a vertical drainpipe of an apartment house is provided to drain off sewage such as rainwater easily and to prevent a counterflow of sewage through a drainpipe by using a counterflow preventor. The counterflow prevention connector installed on a vertical drainpipe of an apartment house for draining off sewage such as rainwater and preventing a counterflow of the sewage from the drainpipe comprises a pair of outer cases(10) formed in a semi-rectangular shape to be opened on one side and coupled with each other to form a rectangular case as a whole, a horizontal layer formed in the outer case and provided with a cylindrical projection and many through holes, a counterflow preventor installed in the outer case to seal up a drainpipe(1) and moved elastically in the downward direction by flowing water to prevent a counterflow of sewage to the upper part, many pinions mounted on two inner walls of a pair of the outer cases and engaged with rack gears formed on two sides of the counterflow preventor to limit the counterflow preventor to move vertically within the appointed range, and a spring inserted between the counterflow preventor and the outer case to support the counterflow preventor elastically.
