A multiplierless FIR(Fine Impulse Response) digital filter and a designing method thereof are provided to reduce the addition or subtraction substituting for multiplication without using the existing CDS(Canonic Signed Digit) method and to expand a structure of the filter simply when supporting input data of a multiple communication standard. A multiplierless FIR digital filter(100) includes a coefficient information extracting block(110) and an addition/subtraction circuit(120). The coefficient information extracting block(110) extracts and stores information to perform a filtering operation by addition and subtraction from a property of coefficients as an input. The addition/subtraction circuit(120) performs the filtering operation and error correction of the inputted data by using the stored information in the coefficient information extracting block(110).
