A system for automatically updating disaster damage investigation in real-time by using wireless communication and a web-GIS, and an operation method thereof are provided to quickly make a disaster prevention/restoration plan by automatically processing/uploading data received from various investigation equipment to a homepage and a bulletin board in connection with the web-GIS. A field equipment end(110) comprises portable damage investigation equipment capturing picture, moving picture, and sound data of a disaster area, obtaining coordinates of the disaster area, and receiving measurement from each measurer, and an ultra high speed wireless Internet modem transmitting data recombined and completed in the portable damage investigation equipment to a damage investigation information reception server(120). The damage investigation information reception server analyzes the received data by comparing the received data with basic damage data, registers the data to a disaster database, and transmits the data to a web server(130) and a web-GIS server(140) by classifying and converting the data into a protocol corresponding to each server.
