APPARATUS FOR CORRECTING A BAD TAIL SHAPE OF HOT ROLLED STEEL STRIP COIL ON THE MINI MILL

An apparatus for correcting a defective tail end of a hot rolled coil in a mini mill is provided to prevent damages of facilities by directly removing the defective tail end of the hot rolled coil through an automated apparatus at an exit position of a coiler for coiling a hot rolled coil in the mini mill. An apparatus for correcting a defective tail end of a hot rolled coil in a mini mill comprises: a drive roll(50) and a lead-in roll installed at the exit side of a coiler of a mini mill hot rolling process, arranged side by side to position a coil(1) drawn out from the coil on the drive roll and the lead-in roll, and rotated forward or reversely to rotate the coil; a drive motor(40) for providing the drive roll with a power; a coil car which is reciprocated from the exit side of the coiler to a space between the drive roll and the lead-in roll, and receives the coil drawn out from the exit side of the coiler to place the coil on upper parts of the drive roll and the lead-in roll; a guide(110) having a guide roll(116) installed on a front part thereof to guide the tail end(1a) of the coil toward a cutter housing(80) in rear of the guide; an upper cutter(83) fixed and mounted onto an upper portion of the cutter housing; and a lower cutter(82) mounted on a lower portion of the cutter housing corresponding to the upper cutter and repeatedly lifted and lowered to cut the tail end of the coil.
