In-loop Deblocking Filter System and method for filterring data using the same

An in-loop deblocking filter system of a video decoder and a filtering method of the system are provided to reduce the number of reading or writing transactions in an external memory and decrease data size for the transactions by applying an efficient access method for the external memory and an internal memory to implementation of an in-loop deblocking filter. An external memory stores pixel data. An internal memory includes an internal buffer for storing already filtered previous pixel data and a main memory for storing current pixel data to be filtered. A filter engine reads the current pixel data to be filtered, writes the current pixel data in the main memory of the internal memory, filters the current pixel data written in the main memory, writes the filtered previous pixel data of the internal buffer and a part of the filtered current pixel data of the main memory in the external memory, and writes remaining current pixel data of the main memory in the internal buffer.
