MASTERBATCH FOR USE OF WHITE COLOR INK FOR MAKER PEN AND MAKER PEN INK USING THE SAME

A master batch for a white marker pen ink, and an ink composition for a white marker pen containing the master batch are provided to improve whiteness and to prevent the precipitation carbon dioxide. A master batch comprises 30-35 wt% of titanium dioxide as a white pigment; 12-15 wt% of a poly(vinyl butyral) resin; 20-25 wt% of ethylene glycol monomethyl ether as a solvent; 20-30 wt% of a surfactant; 1-2 wt% of a pigment dispersant; 1-3 wt% of an antisettling agent; and 2-5 wt% of a releasing agent. Preferably the titanium dioxide has a particle size of 0.1-0.4 micrometers; and the poly(vinyl butyral) resin is a low molecular weight polymer having a degree of polymerization of 200-800.
