An advertisement and emergency guidance system for a subway platform is provided to let passengers quickly escape by displaying an advertisement normal times and an escape guide passage in an emergency state and to quickly cope with a breakdown. An advertisement and emergency guidance system for a subway platform includes a controller(200) installed in a station office to convert an advertisement image signal into an optical signal and transmit the optical signal through an optical cable, convert an emergency image signal into the optical signal and transmit the optical signal through the optical cable if a fire detection signal is input from the outside or an input luminance signal is below a predetermined level, and informing a breakdown by receiving a breakdown signal from the outside through serial communications and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) display(300) installed at the platform and provided with plural LCD modules(310) to convert the optical signal transmitted from the controller through the optical cable into an image signal and display the image signal on the LCD modules, and transmit the fire detection signal, luminance signal, and breakdown signal through the controller and serial communications.
